Our gelato
Start-up of locally produced gelato at Christineholm
About the project
Christineholms gård in Nyköping municipality is now starting up local production of artisanal gelato. The milk comes from local organic dairy farms, and the flavors are inspired by Swedish ingredients such as lingonberries, rhubarb and elderberries.
In the project, they will start production on the farm, and they will sell the ice cream under the name "Our gelato".
The project is being carried out in collaboration with Rosteriet Nyköping AB.
The project will run from 2025 to 2026.
Sörmlands Nyheter writes about the project in an article (September 2025).
A business cluster is being developed at Christineholm. Among other things, an innovative feasibility study on Sweden's first (?) coffee bean cultivation, and so the farm has carried out a feasibility study on the development of a food hub.
