About the project
In Gamla Oxelösund there is a beautiful archipelago environment, a restaurant and an archipelago museum – you can also connect to the cultural trail and take a walk in idyllic natural and cultural environments. Oxelö Krog is located with a beautiful view of the bay in one of Oxelösund's oldest buildings.
In a project funded by Leader Sörmlandskutsen, Lindé Kultur & Café received support to build an outdoor stage. The stage hosts cultural performances in connection with the restaurant, but it is also open to performances arranged by other actors. The stage has contributed to a greater cultural offering in Oxelösund municipality and has been beneficial to both the local population and visitors.
The project was ongoing in 2021.

Why was the project prioritized?
LAG's decision on prioritization with justification:
A live stage would increase the attractiveness of the entire Old Oxelösund and can be seen as part of a long-term strategy to develop activities and accessibility for the area and benefit both the local businesses, associations (the local history associations' attractions, etc.) and residents. A stage that can be used regularly for music and other performances would make it possible for the pub to extend its opening hours and attract more visitors.
Through collaboration between the company, which is the tenant of the old tavern, associations and the municipality, the stage will be open to everyone.
