Vision Långbrogård
The future of Sörmland's manors

About the project
The property owner of the agricultural property Långbro Gård, together with a number of enthusiasts, wants to offer opportunities for local entrepreneurs and associations, primarily in the areas of organic farming, animal husbandry, crafts, food processing, education and ecotourism, to establish their businesses on the farm.
The aim is to jointly build a holistic experience with a rich range of products, services and training and thus become a destination for many with an interest in sustainability, nature, animals and local food. In the long term, the farm is also seen as a hub for energy and food supply to an expanded residential development around Mölnbo.
The project will, through workshops, study visits and public activities, inventory the farm's total resources in the form of entrepreneurs, residents, premises, cultivation areas and attractions based on economic, social and environmental sustainability. The goal is a local development strategy and long-term vision for Långbro farm.
Support is sought for project management, vision work, marketing efforts, purchased advisory services, workshops and events.
The project runs from 2022 to 2024.
Project
”"Långbro farm can become a hub for energy and food supply for an expanded residential development around the town of Mölnbo"”
Justification
The project clearly aims to investigate the conditions and provide suggestions for directions for a new destination for locally produced goods and services on an urban agricultural farm.
The LAG Board is particularly positive about the project group's composition and variety of entrepreneurs and associations, where the group as a whole has good opportunities to attract tourists and create profitability for their companies.
The LAG Board also views positively the broad approach of inviting residents of the local area to open workshops as a long-term vision can influence the area's conditions for housing development and attractive living environments.
