Creative Långbro
Two cultural days strengthen collaboration between associations in Mölnbo
About the project
The Association Nutidens Kultur and Hantverkssällskap has during 2025 worked to strengthen culture and collaborations around cultural events in Mölnbo. Through the project, they have invited to two cultural days at Långbro Gård.
The association also organized a traditional midsummer celebration on June 21, 2025, with music and dance around the pole.
On September 6, 2025, about a hundred jazz enthusiasts in the area could gather for the ”Long Bridge Farm Jazz Lawn Party,” which was part of an activity during Mölnbodagen. There was dancing, music, and jazz with a vintage style. A great evening!
The association has also organized an economy workshop for local collaborative associations in Mölnbo. The purpose of this was to strengthen the conditions to continue working together on events and to have a common knowledge regarding economy and event budget. The hope is that the associations will be able to carry out more events together – that do not require so much external funding.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
”We wanted to organize two cultural days to create real experiences and meetings between people – we believe that is important – not least for children and young people. Together we wanted to recreate meaningfulness outside the screens again.”
One of eleven projects within "Creative Rural Areas"”
Culture as a tool for rural development
In 2025, Leader Sörmland Coast is making a special effort on projects with cultural and creative actors. We are financing 11 projects that, with small funds (max. 40,000 SEK incl. VAT), will make contributions within the culture or creative sector. The projects are always in collaboration with at least one actor.
With the 11 sub-projects, Leader Sörmland Coast wants to promote culture as a tool for the development of towns and rural areas in our area.
The purpose of the project is to promote culture, creativity and place development in rural areas within the framework of the Leader method.
The goal of the project is to grant at least 10 sub-projects with a focus on location development for creative and cultural industries.
The project is partly funded by the EU.
