Art camp in Vrena

Vrena Folkets Hus invites to art camp and creates new collaborations

About the project

During the autumn holidays, Vrena Folkets Hus invites you to a two-day art camp for children and young people in the town. During the art camp, children got to try creating freely with different materials, and let it take both focus and create joy. Some took the opportunity to create their own Halloween costumes!

Vrena Folkets Hus invites Bryggeriets Konstkollo to carry out art activities for children and young people in Nyköping, and was a new actor that Folkets Hus collaborated with. Bryggeriets Konstkollo (under the leadership of Marja Fiander and Bobo Lindblad) is a company that carries out art activities for children and young people in Nyköping.

The art camp was also sponsored by Nyköping Municipality, but this support is outside of Leader's support and financed a third camp leader (Susanne Öljert).

The project was implemented in 2025.

ABOUT ART COLLO

”"We want to create sustainable and inclusive activities that engage children and young people, and at the same time strengthen collaboration with other associations"”

One of eleven projects within "Creative Rural Areas"”

Culture as a tool for rural development

In 2025, Leader Sörmland Coast is making a special effort on projects with cultural and creative actors. We are financing 11 projects that, with small funds (max. 40,000 SEK incl. VAT), will make contributions within the culture or creative sector. The projects are always in collaboration with at least one actor.

With the 11 sub-projects, Leader Sörmland Coast wants to promote culture as a tool for the development of towns and rural areas in our area.

The purpose of the project is to promote culture, creativity and place development in rural areas within the framework of the Leader method.

The goal of the project is to grant at least 10 sub-projects with a focus on location development for creative and cultural industries.

The project is partly funded by the EU.
