We have gathered an exciting group of rural actors to explore together what makes the countryside a vibrant and attractive place. We also ask the question: The farm in the village, the village in the farm – How can the farms reach out to the local community? How can the local population contribute to the farm's life?
Participating are among others:
– Jordan Lane, community planner: Södertälje municipality's rural strategy
– Jens Spendrup, Spendrups Brewery: On the importance of local entrepreneurship
– Gunnar Casserstedt, advisor and debater in sustainable housing development: How can the countryside become a place for innovation, community, and sustainable building?
– Sofi Håkansson: rural developer and project manager for the Cultivation and Food Arena, MatLust Development Node: Labor market measures for more people in work within agriculture, cultivation, and processing
– Daniel Israelsson, Our local, Gnesta: On the role of culture in the countryside
– Matilda Markne and Jacqueline Hellsten, Leader Sörmlandskusten: More cultural initiatives through the Creative Countryside project
– Representative from Mölnbo municipal committee: shares about their work with rural issues locally
Local lunch
Hearty sausage stew with tomatoes from Gerstaberg, possibly barley bulgur from Warbro mill with tabbouleh with wild garlic, goat cheese cream from Sörbro, alder smoked tofu from JiPin in Vallentuna, cheese pretzel from Manfred Enoksson's bakery, Långbro.

Participant fee
We charge a participant fee that is essentially the cost price for the food. Invited/members of Leader get a free ticket!

All of us who want to uplift the countryside and contribute with engagement and input to our rural areas.
Politicians and officials active in rural development and business issues. Private actors and entrepreneurs for networking and exchange of experiences. The voluntary sector and associations in the countryside and smaller communities. Students in rural development, urban planning.

Part of Rural Week
