450 students at Fornbyskolan and Bergshammars skola try out dance
About the project
During the autumn of 2025, the Association Dance Oxelösund Nyköping will conduct dance classes at Fornbyskolan in Trosa municipality and Bergshammar skola in Nyköping municipality.
In total, the association conducted 16 dance classes at Fornbyskolan and 2 dance classes at Bergshammar – about 450 students were able to dance through the project! Many who would not have come into contact with dance otherwise.
RF Sisu collaborated with the association in the project and lectured, among other things, about health and movement.
As an effect of the project, the association is investing in a new dance class in January 2026!

Culture as a tool for rural development
In 2025, Leader Sörmland Coast is making a special effort on projects with cultural and creative actors. We are financing 11 projects that, with small funds (max. 40,000 SEK incl. VAT), will make contributions within the culture or creative sector. The projects are always in collaboration with at least one actor.
With the 11 sub-projects, Leader Sörmland Coast wants to promote culture as a tool for the development of towns and rural areas in our area.
The purpose of the project is to promote culture, creativity and place development in rural areas within the framework of the Leader method.
The goal of the project is to grant at least 10 sub-projects with a focus on location development for creative and cultural industries.
The project is partly funded by the EU.
